PRESS RELEASE – TRAVEL PARIS AND DUBAI WITH LINDA LUNDSTROM
Travel Paris and Dubai with Fashion Designer Linda Lundström
Design icon offers an insiders view to these two culturally rich cities.
TORONTO, June 4, 2010 – This fall Linda Lundström is teaming up with Sarracini Travel to offer
both a Parisian tour from September 12th to the 19th, then an exotic visit to Dubai from
October 24th to the 31st. Led by Lundström herself, each adventure offers an insider’s view on
the culture, fashion and design of these two unique cities.
“I love Paris and sharing the experience of finding fabrics, discussing colour and fashion trends
with my travel groups has been very rewarding. The food, wine and shopping adds to the
flavour of the trip and we make sure there is plenty of time for each of our guests to explore on
their own”.
Lundström has been on many fabric sourcing trips to Paris, having created over 100 collections
in her career. She provides her guests with ‘Linda’s map of Paris’, with directions to the flea
market, the best cappuccino, her preferred public swimming pool, great vintage Chanel, and
picnic supplies from the local markets. “I have been privileged to meet incredible people over
the years, who have inspired and enriched the Paris experience”, Linda recalls.
In 2009, Lundstrom was invited to Kuwait and Dubai, to experience the fashion and design
aesthetics of the area. Immediately upon arriving Lundstrom was struck by the colour palette of
the land and the attire of the people. “The lifestyle, the clothing, the architecture and the
elegance I saw everywhere, left me thinking that Dubai would be a wonderful destination to
share with others”.
Titled ‘Midnight at the Oasis, Daytime in Dubai’, guests will join Linda and her husband Joel on
a visit to the capital city of Abu Dabi, with a picnic at a desert oasis and visit to a Bedouin
market. With a luxurious Dubai hotel as home base, Linda explains what to wear, “Bring your
veils and sheer layers to be cool and covered and we will transport you into a different world”.
‘Parisian Adventures’ costs $3,195 and in addition to time for ‘le shopping’, will include a visit to
the renowned Premiere Vision fabric exposition where buyers from around the world explore
the latest colours, fabrics and silhouettes. As well, a journey to the country-side to enjoy one of
Linda’s famous potluck picnics and plenty of opportunities to enjoy Paris’s renowned fashion
boutiques and historic locations.
‘Midnight at the Oasis, Daytime in Dubai’ costs $2,595. It includes a viewing of the magnificent
Jumeira Mosque, a deluxe motor coach trip along the Arabian Sea to Abu Dhabi and guided
