Living with Washi: Japanese Paper Inspiring Daily Life
Translucent. Varied. Strong. Textured. Malleable. Stitchable. Ancient. Renewable. Best known by artists who love its absorbency, washi – traditional Japanese paper – is perfect for contemporary applications off the wall – on windows, in screens, dyed, textured and stitched into jewellery and bags, as wallpaper, furniture coverings, placemats, cushions and clothing. The Japanese Paper Place invited Linda to be a special guest in June 2011 to explore taking washi into new realms of possibility!

Linda’s workshop was truly empowering! Having a pattern that is “uniquely you” at the end of the day – it’s like winning a million dollar gift. Receiving confidence to create – that was inspiring!
